Biography
Dr. Trent Peng holds a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois in 2004. Prior to that, he completed his undergraduate studies at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; he graduated with a major in psychology.After graduation, Dr. Peng served as an associate chiropractor for clinics in Waco (2005-06) and Belton (2006-08), eventually found employment in Pflugerville (2008-12) and later became the owner of Pflugerville Wellness Center (2012-current).
Dr. Peng has been certified as a medical examiner of the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) since 2014 in order to perform trucker physical examinations as per regulations of the Department of Transportation (DOT). Additionally, he is undergoing the 300-hour Diplomate Program in Occupational Health and Applied Ergonomics so he can better serve and consult the working population.
Furthermore, Dr. Peng has completed his Masters degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center for the Public Health program, with a major in Epidemiology and minor in Biostatistics. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Epidemiology. Dr. Peng's goal is to engage in epidemiological research in addition to his Chiropractic and Occupational Health practice.
Based on his education and experiences, Dr. Peng believes in the evidence-based treatment approach. In addition, he strongly promotes a holistic approach to health care, including proper diet, posture/ergonomics, and exercises and frequently consults patients on these factors to improve patients’ overall health.
