Biography
Dr Chinedu Okafor is a Board-Certified Psych/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is also a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has over 2 decades of combined advanced practice and Registered Nurse experience, including experiences in Adult Care, Geriatrics and Home Health, Children Medical/Surgical Care, Newborn Nursery, Neonatal ICU, and Psych/Mental Health.Dr Chinedu Okafor believes in a holistic approach to health. She recognizes that all aspects of an individual’s health affect one another and must not be ignored. Dr Chinedu Okafor prides herself on being a good listener and attentive to her patients’ needs. She is a patient advocate and understands the need for patients to be heard. She also loves to teach and feels that it is important that patients understand what is going on with their health, to best equip and empower them to take control of their health.
Dr Chinedu Okafor obtained her doctorate in Psych/Mental Health from University of North Florida, and her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Walden University. Her passion lies in preventative care with the belief that "one ounce of prevention equals a pound of cure."
Her goal is to apply all evidence-based treatment protocols, as well as her vast experience, knowledge, and skills to help her clients achieve the best outcome for their overall health.
She has numerous years of experience in performing physical exams.
