Am I required to sign a contract to use Simple Physical?
No. Simple Physical is a month-to-month subscription.
Is Simple Physical HIPAA compliant?
HIPAA compliance isnโt a formal certification process- thereโs no such thing as a government-issued HIPAA seal. What HIPAA does require is that organizations implement reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect patient data.
Simple Physical is hosted on a HIPAA-audited server provided by one of the leading HIPAA infrastructure providers. This means our hosting environment includes:
- Encrypted data storage (at rest and in transit)
- Isolated server environments
- Physical data center access controls
- Regular vulnerability scanning and patch management
- Signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with the hosting provider

My staff assists me with my exams. Do they need their own subscription to Simple Physical?
Staff members that assist with the DOT physical exams will get their own login credentials. Please note that another medical examiner should not be permitted to use the same account. This is against FMCSA regulations.
Where does the driver go to start the intake process?
Once you register for Simple Physical, you will be given your personal URL and QR code that drivers can use to start the intake process prior to the time of their exam.ย
Does Simple Physical alert drivers to their certificate expiration date?
Yes! Drivers can view their countdown to certificate expiration in the driver portal. As part of our product roadmap, we plan to allow drivers and employers to receive periodic emails or text messages when the drivers near their expiration date.
Can Simple Physical send a copy of the driverโs medical certificate to their employer?
If the driver provides their employerโs email address, Simple Physical will send a copy of the medical certificate directly to them.
Does Simple Physical have a company portal?
They have a driver portal and the driver can opt to share their information with their employer.
What happens to my exams if I stop using Simple Physical?
You own your data. You will be able to download all your exams and data from the exam archive for 30 days after you cancel your subscription.
