What is a Driver Helpful® DOT Physical Exam?
Helping drivers is what we do. We know the medical requirements and we are interested in helping the driver maintain their livelihood. When needed, we steer drivers with medical conditions thru the requirements so they maintain a current CDL medical card.
Biography
If you’re a truck driver, you know how essential it is to stay healthy and maintain your Department of Transportation (DOT) physical certification. Long hours on the road can take a toll on your health, especially when it comes to maintaining an active lifestyle. This is where Chinedu, a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for holistic, preventative care, steps in.
Chinedu understands the challenges truck drivers face, and her philosophy that “one ounce of prevention equals a pound of cure” is at the heart of her approach to healthcare. With over 18 years of experience managing Integrity Home Health Care Services, she has the clinical expertise and business skills to provide efficient and compassionate care to the trucking community.
Her holistic approach to health, which integrates both physical and mental well-being, is particularly valuable to truck drivers. Whether it’s addressing chronic issues like high blood pressure or offering strategies to maintain a healthier lifestyle, Chinedu is here to help you feel confident about passing your DOT physical.
In addition to DOT physicals, Chinedu offers DOT drug tests and alcohol tests, making her clinic a one-stop shop for truck drivers. This convenience means you can take care of all your health and certification needs in one place, without the hassle of running to multiple locations.
Dr Chinedu Okafor has over two decades of combined advanced practice and Registered Nurse experience, including experiences in Adult Care, Geriatrics and Home Health, Children Medical/Surgical Care, Newborn Nursery, Neonatal ICU, and Psych/Mental Health. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas, Arlington, her FNP-MSN in 2014 from Walden University, and her doctorate in Psych/Mental Health in 2023 from the University of North Florida. Dr. Okafor also holds two other bachelor’s degrees in Biology and in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Chinedu considers nursing a calling and believes that serving God and others is the purpose of life. She also loves reading, traveling, and spending time with her wonderful husband and four kids.
