Biography

I grew up in a military family, moving around the world with my parents who both served in the U.S. Air Force. I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and received training as a Czechoslovakian linguist/interrogator specialist at the Defense Language Institute in California. After that, I became a cryptologist at Goodfellow Air Force Base in Texas and later served in an AWAC plane monitoring military radio broadcasts for U.S. intelligence. After my service, I worked in Germany before returning to the U.S. to finish college, where I graduated with a B.S. degree in clinical psychology from East Tennessee State University. In 1976, I returned to California and have lived here since. Later, I became a chiropractor after experiencing the benefits of chiropractic care for a sports injury. During my practice, I treated commercial truck drivers, which piqued my interest in working with them due to my cousin’s involvement in commercial trucking.
