NRCME Certification Training
NRCME Certification Training is required for medical professionals such as MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, and DCs who want to perform DOT physical exams. To become certified, you’ll need to complete an FMCSA-compliant NRCME training course, receive a certificate of completion, obtain a National Registry number, and then pass the NRCME exam at an approved testing center. Certification is valid for 10 years.
NRCME Recertification Training ensures you remain qualified after your initial certification period. You must still hold a valid state medical license, complete a DOT medical examiner certification course, and pass the certification exam- typically in your ninth year. Passing early wonโt shorten your credential; it simply extends another 10 years from your original expiration date.
TeamCME has already helped more than 28,000 medical professionals become (and stay) NRCME certified. Our self-paced courses are designed to help you pass the exam on your first try. Certification and Recertification courses are CE-eligible. For chiropractors, CE credit is available in states that accept PACE.

DOT Collector Training Courses
DOT Collector Training is required for anyone who conducts or oversees federally regulated drug and alcohol testing. You donโt have to be a nurse or hold a medical license, but you must meet some basic requirements. Collectors and Breath Alcohol Technicians (BATs) must be at least 21 years of age, hold a high school diploma, have a clean criminal record, and be able to communicate and understand instructions in English.
Training is available for all major collection methods, including urine specimen collection, breath alcohol testing (BAT), and the new oral fluid collection requirements. Each course ensures compliance with DOT Part 40 regulations and includes both online modules and a live mock collection conducted over video conference.
After successful completion, youโll receive a certificate confirming your ability to correctly perform DOT collections. Certification is good for for 5 years and is required to remain compliant when providing drug and alcohol testing services.
