Dr. Ron Cottrell has been serving the Vista, CA community for over 25 years as a trusted chiropractor and certified medical examiner. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton, where he competed as an NCAA Division I wrestler, and later received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences.

With more than two decades of experience as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner, Dr. Cottrell has supported local athletes from Vista, Oceanside, and Rancho Buena Vista high schools, as well as Pop Warner football programs. He holds the prestigious DACBSP® certification (Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians), the highest level of sports injury training in chiropractic care.

Dr. Cottrell specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries, including spine, extremities, concussions, and post-surgical rehabilitation. He is known for his thorough evaluations, personalized treatment plans, and commitment to helping patients achieve their health goals through joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy, and corrective exercise.

For over 10 years, Dr. Cottrell has been a certified provider of DOT physicals in Vista, CA. He is listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners and is qualified to perform Department of Transportation exams for commercial drivers, ensuring they meet all federal health and safety standards.

From I-5, head east on Hwy 78. Take the Melrose Drive exit and turn right. Continue heading south on Melrose Drive for approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto Live Oak, and then make an immediate left into the Melrose Square Shopping Center.

From I-15, head west on Hwy 78. Take the Vista Village Drive exit and turn left. Turn right onto Hacienda Drive and then make an immediate left onto Melrose Drive. Continue on Melrose Drive for approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto Live Oak, and then make an immediate left into the Melrose Square Shopping Center.
