Part 5 is the ninth and tenth hours of the 6 Part (12 hour) course leading to a WorkRite** Certificate of Completion and Competency in performing medical evaluations of workers for respirator use. Part 5 continues training in medical guidance for workers using respirators who have cardiovascular disorders, medication use, problems wearing a respirator, or vison disorders. Also included is a discussion of the differences between using full face respirators and SCBA use, as well as typical questions encountered by the medical examiner from respirator users.
Note: This course does not include NIOSH Spirometry Certification to perform spirometry for respiratory use.
