What is a Driver Helpful® DOT Physical Exam? Helping drivers is what we do. Our provider knows the medical requirements and is interested in helping the driver maintain their livelihood. When needed, we steer drivers with certain medical conditions thru the requirements so they can obtain or maintain a current CDL medical card and continue to drive. We’ll also address concerns and safety considerations regarding the driver's current and future wellbeing as it pertains to their career.

Biography

Dr. Robert Newhalfen is a National Registry of Certified Medical Examiner performing CDL Medical exams for drivers. He is a 2010 graduate of National University of Health Sciences (NUHS). While at NUHS, Dr. Newhalfen received extensive training in the areas of diagnosis, adjustive technique, rehabilitation, gait analysis, soft tissue therapy, kinesio taping, nutrition, and acupuncture. After graduation, he has continued post-graduate coursework in the areas of motion palpation, biomechanics, McKenzie Therapy, functional rehabilitation, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Active Release Technique (ART), Global Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention (GRIP), pediatric rehabilitation, temporomandibular dysfunction (TMJ and TMD) and various other areas. Dr. Newhalfen has completed over 1000 hours of post-graduate coursework outside of his Chiropractic education. Dr. Newhalfen is a strong believer in “practicing what he preaches.” As he is continually learning and trying new things for the benefits of his patients, you can be assured that almost everything Dr. Newhalfen recommends for treatment is something he has actually tried himself.
