What is a Driver Helpful® DOT Physical Exam? Helping drivers is what we do. Our provider knows the medical requirements and is interested in helping the driver maintain their livelihood. When needed, we steer drivers with certain medical conditions thru the requirements so they can obtain or maintain a current CDL medical card and continue to drive. We’ll also address concerns and safety considerations regarding the driver's current and future wellbeing as it pertains to their career.

Dr. Clapper has 30 years of experience in private practice, teaching at Palmer College of Chiropractic, sports performance training with athletes of all levels (professional to Little League) and as an Occupational Injury Prevention Specialist with companies nation-wide. Dr. Clapper has been working with drivers on-site at steel companies, beverage distribution, warehouse, fire departments and heavy-equipment operators for the past 12 years. He is very familiar with the physical requirements and the common aches and pains associated with prolonged driving, climbing up and down, throwing and tightening straps or chains, tarping or sliding a Conestoga cover, etc. While performing the DOT physical Dr. Clapper can provide helpful tips and recommendations for reducing musculoskeletal discomfort and for preventing injuries both in the short-term and in the long-run.
